<249>Level </249>
<250>Music</250>
<251>Cancel</251>
<252>This is the space pad.</252>
<253>Use the stylus or directional button to move the space pad left and right.</253>
<254>Use your mouse, keyboard, or joypad to move the space pad left and right.</254>
<255>Once a ball is created use the space pad to reflect the ball back up to hit the bricks (kind of like a tennis racket).</255>
<256>You have initiated creating a ball. Creating a ball uses red and blue ether. It can be undone while it's being created by pressing the action button again.</256>
<257>The ball is created. It will now drop. Now move the space pad so it is under the ball. The ball will reflect back to the top and destroy bricks. When all the bricks are destroyed the level is complete.</257>
<258>When you miss a ball with the space pad it is gone. You now must create another ball to complete the level. If you don't have enough ether to create another ball then the game is over and you'll have to try again.</258>
<259>This is a power item. Items do different things, some give you bonus points, some change the way the balls move, and others enable special features of your space pad. They will fall down and if you catch them with the space pad they will be activated.</259>
<260>Each power item will have a red or green halo around it. Good power items have a green halo (such as multiball), and bad power items have a red halo (such as smaller pad).</260>
<261>This is Acky's flying saucer. He is show boating across the top of the screen, hit him with the ball to destroy his ship and get a 500 point bonus item. There is no penalty for not hitting his ship.</261>
<262>This is Acky. He peeps out every once and while looking for ether to replenish his supplies. Move your space pad to stop him from stealing your ether, if you don't he will take five percent ether from the side he appears on.</262>
<263>These are the gem tanks where your gem resources go. There is one tank for each type of blaster. The notches on the tank represent how much gem juice is used for each shot.</263>
<264>This is a ball you hit around the level with the space pad. Direct the ball towards bricks to destroy them and advance to the next level.</264>
<265>You have now filled one XP bonus bar! You did this by gaining the required number of bonuses of one type. When you have all 5 XP bars full you'll unlock XP mode. See the help file for more information.</265>
<266>If you accidentally create a ball you can cancel it by pressing the same button again.</266>
<267>Regular bricks are destroyed with one hit and come in a many colors.</267>
<268>Metal bricks are shiny and make a unique sound when hit. They cannot be destroyed easily are not required to be destroyed to complete a level.</268>
<269>Crackle bricks require two hits to be destroyed.</269>
<270>Glass bricks require two hits to be destroyed.</270>
<271>Ether bricks contain ether which you use to create more balls. When you destroy an ether brick it will drop an ether glob to catch with the space pad.</271>
<272>Glowing bricks require multiple hits to destroy, they will glow with a special sequence of lights as you hit them.</272>
<273>Light bricks require four hits to be destroyed.</273>
<274>Moving bricks can move horizontally and vertically, they are harder to hit than most bricks.</274>
<275>Some moving bricks freely move across the whole game area.</275>
<276>Exploding bricks will hit other bricks surrounding them. Some require a hit to arm them before exploding.</276>
<277>Ghost bricks phase in and out of being able to be hit, you can hit them only when they are fully visible.</277>
<278>Mad bricks deflect the ball a random direction.</278>
<279>Repulsor bricks repel the ball away from them and are hard to hit.</279>
<280>Attractor bricks attract the ball to them and are easily hit.</280>
<281>Bounce bricks temporarily change the balls speed after a hit. Metal variants cannot be destroyed.</281>
<282>When all Slot bricks on a level match you gain a point bonus!</282>
<283>Acky will appear in these special Window bricks from time to time, if you hit the brick when he is in the window you get a point bonus.</283>
<284>Key bricks cannot be destroyed, when hit they change the state of lock bricks from on to off or off to on.</284>
<285>Lock bricks have two states, on and off. When off they appear as outlines of bricks and cannot be destroyed, when on they are like normal bricks.</285>
<286>Switch bricks have two states, on and off. They toggle the state of other switch bricks when hit. When they are off they appear as a pattern and when on they are mostly solid. Switch bricks cannot be destroyed.</286>
<287>Sequential bricks must be hit in the order the numbers appear on them.</287>
<288>You have triggered a bonus! You did this by doing a certain set of actions in the game. Each time you get a bonus these XP bars will fill up, when all bars are full you will gain XP mode! Each bar requires a number of bonuses to be triggered to be full, see the help file for more information.</288>
<289>You have triggered a bonus! Here is the name, description, and point basis for the bonus you just triggered.

</289>
<290>Pad Bonus
Break ten bricks in a row without having the ball hit any walls.
bonus = number of brick breaks X 15</290>
<291>Saucer Bonus

bonus = number of point power items X 20</292>
<293>Power Bonus
Get ten non-point power items in a row without getting any point power items.
bonus = number of power items X 15</293>
<294>Wall Bonus
Break ten bricks in a row without having the ball hit the pad.
bonus = number of brick breaks X 10</294>
<295>Brick Bonus
Break ten of the exact same color and type of bricks in a row.
bonus = number of bricks X 20</295>
<296>Multiball Bonus
Have more than one ball active for ten seconds.
bonus = number of balls X seconds X 10</296>

<403>Hello and welcome. The objective of the game is quite simple, use the pad at the bottom of the screen to reflect a ball around each level to destroy the bricks at the top of the screen. (Click on this message to see the next message.)</403>
<404>This is a brick. There are many different types of bricks. Some can be destroyed by hitting them with the ball, and some cannot. Special types of bricks take multiple hits to destroy them. Each type of brick will be explained as you play through the game.</404>
<405>Some bricks have stars on them, this means they contain a special Power Item which will drop from the brick when it is destroyed. If you catch the Power Item with your space pad you'll enable the special abilities of the Power Item. Each type of Power Item will be explained as you see them while playing.</405>
<406>This is how many points you have, you gain points by destroying bricks, getting Point Power Items, and doing special things in the game called Bonuses.</406>
<407>This is how many breakable bricks remain on the current level, use the ball to break all the bricks and you'll advance to the next level.</407>
<408>All of the background effects are customizable, you can turn them off if they distract you too much. Simply go into the Settings > Graphics menu to turn them off.</408>
<409>To create a ball you must have two colors of Ether, red and blue. There are red and blue ether tanks which start full then drain as you create balls to complete each level. You gain ether by getting certain power items and by hitting special bricks. You can also create more than one ball at a time.</409>
<410>This concludes the introduction. To start playing </410>
<411>click the red or blue ether tank</411>
<412>press the left mouse button</412>
<413> to create a ball after this message. Have fun.</413>
